Calor Rural Pub in the Community Award - Open for Entries

4:27pm Friday, 20th April 2007

Calor is searching for the UK’s best rural pub and wants examples of pubs which have diversified their businesses to offer their local community a wider range of services and are the heart of their community.

Examples include anything from providing Internet access for local people, hosting community meetings, offering retail and post office services or helping the elderly community in the area.

They're looking for villagers to nominate their local, or publicans, leaseholders and pub tenants to nominate their own pubs. The only criteria is that the village must have 5,000 residents or less.
