Best Practice Fair on A8 Migrant Workers in Rural Areas
- Date and time:
- Monday, 29th January 2007 at 11:00am
- Location:
- Mary Sumner House, London
Many rural areas have seen a large influx of A8 migrant workers in the past few years. In many cases this has had a significant impact on demographics and local services.
This event will focus on sharing and promoting good practice examples of projects addressing A8 migrant workers issues in rural areas today.
The day will provide policy-makers and practitioners from national, regional and local government, voluntary organisations, faith groups and employers with an opportunity to:
- visit exhibition stands of projects working in areas such as education, employers of migrant workers and community cohesion
- talk to practitioners about their work
- attend break out sessions on particular good practice issues
- network and share information to identify areas of common concern
