Date and time:

We're hosting and supporting this workshop, also supported by the RELU programme, bringing together a wide range of academics to contribute to one of the first books to reflect the remarkable change in the position of land and food in the era of climate change.

The book aims to establish and explore the contours of the new debate and establish a baseline of evidence and ideas.

The introductory section will set the scene, exploring land use studies, from traditional issues of land supply and use, to the newer science of ecological footprinting focusing on conventional land uses.

Section 2 will aim to provide state of the art reviews on technologies emerging in the battle to tackle climate change and how they might impact on land use and management.

The final section will pick up on some of the issues and conflicts that these emerging technologies, capacities and demands give rise to.
