Elinor Goodman

Elinor Goodman was for 23 years political editor of Channel Four News. After leaving television, she chaired the independent Affordable Rural Housing Commission which made recommendations to the Government on how to improve the supply of affordable housing in the countryside.
She is now a freelance journalist, specialising in rural and political issues. She also sits on the boards of the Thomson Foundation and the Hansard Society.
Elinor was formerly a member of the Wiltshire Community Trust and the Government's Hill Farming Taskforce, and has a longstanding interest in the countryside which has always been her home.
