Former Principal of Bishop Burton College and Chief Executive of Landex (Land Based Colleges Association) Howard Petch CBE has more recently worked with land based colleges, churches and rural based charities. Within the wider Further Education sector he is an Assessor for the College Principal’s Leadership Programme delivered by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service.

His extensive work in the voluntary sector includes his role as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of  Farm Crisis Network.

Howard is also a Justice of the Peace
