Richard Childs

Richard Childs QPM BSc FSyI manages his own business consultancy which he set up in 2003. He provides strategic advice on criminal justice and government, community safety, the wider police and security families, and the security, parking, motor and postal industries to a variety of private and public sector clients. He also provides advice on corporate governance.


Richard is chair of Lincolnshire NHS, is on the Prison Service Pay Review Body, and on the governing body of Lincoln Minster School. Between 2006 and 2008 he was a non-executive director of GoEast. Until 1998 Richard was chief constable of Lincolnshire Police.


He was awarded the Queen's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, has a Bachelor of Science Degree and is a Fellow of the Security Institute. He was born in Devon, has lived there, in Sussex and London and now in deepest Lincolnshire - but spends time in Somerset.
