I think that if this is being used as evidence of what is happening in rural areas then please look at other rural areas. Parts of this film are excellent, others demonstrate a lamentable lack of understanding of rural areas.

what do advcates do in a health and care settting?

Thanks for your comment. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but the Rural Advocate's role is to put the case for rural people to the highest levels of government.

In this case Stuart met with and spoke to people involved in the delivery of healthcare services, and to people receiving healthcare in rural areas, to inform our evidence to the NHS Review. Our evidence was developed to help ensure that the needs of rural communities were taken into account by Lord Darzi and his team, and that they are not disadvantaged by changes to the way healthcare services are delivered.
