I've downloaded this and the content od the zip file is a text file.  Is that correct or should there be a spreadsheet instead?  Thanks, Becky

Hi Becky,
Yes, that's correct. The data is in a text file so that the data can be used in different ways, but you can open this with Excel or other spreadsheet software.
The process varies slightly for different versions of Excel. If you search Excel help for 'Import or export text files' you'll get an explanation of different ways you can open the data.
Hope that does the job - if you need any more help, email us at info@ruralcommunities.gov.uk

This is a very large file which is too big to import into excel. Can I ask why it is not split by say region to make it easier to work with. Also I note that the columns do not have any titles, are they stored eslewhere?

Thank you for your comment, we have recently uploaded an additional document onto the page which contains data labels. We hope this is helpful.
