We welcome 'Rural challenges, local solutions', the report of the 8 Defra Rural Delivery Pathfinders published today. The pathfinders have explored innovative approaches to rural delivery at the local level, reflecting local priorities and circumstances.

We've written a formal response to CLG's 'Creating strong, safe and prosperous communities'. We're recommending that CLG promotes the Government’s rural proofing commitment to local authorities and their partners involved in the LSPs and the development of sustainable community strategies and LAAs. CLG should consult stakeholders, such as the LGA and the LGA’s Rural Commission on this matter. We welcome any feedback on this response.
